Your Site Stands Out. I Have Dual Citizenship of Australia and Greece

by Maria
(Ethiopia)

Your site stands out as I could tell from the rest that you really cared to help people around the planet and share your knowledge.
I am the same - I have helped thousands of people especially from my job in the Netherlands where every day I had dozens of customers...Good Karma does go around....

My age is 49 in July - how does that qualify for the teaching visa you mentioned? Hope they do not consider me too old....hahahaha!

I have both nationalities Greek and Australian, havent renewed my passport for the past 20 years since I came to Greece but I guess I can always do it ...

I am also very happy to help others as much as I can. I have long offered hospitality to people and have been offered as well through sites like hospitalityclub.org and Couchsurfing...

Maria,
The age limit for Australian is from 18 to 30 years. So you are over the limit on that one.

MOFA says "Being between 18 and 30 years of age both inclusive at the time of application for the visa; As for Australia, Canada and Republic of Korea, an applicant should be between 18 and 25 years of age except in those cases where the competent authorities of Japan agree to extend the limitation of age to 30 years."

But there are other ways to skin the cat. Spousal visa. Also specialty visa. This is a visa that allows you to work in Japan because you have a trade or skill that is not commonly found in Japan. So this means not cashier or job that any Japanese could do. If you have a specialty than you can get this visa. Here is the URL to Greece and Japan visa regulations.

Hope this helps in some way.
