Canadian Working Holiday Visa

Hi There,

Is it possible to get a teaching job in Japan without a 4 year degree?

I currently hold a diploma, and I am looking at getting TEFL Certified, but I an not sure if that will do any good considering I don't have a 4 year degree.

Thank you for your help!

Canadian Working Holiday Visa

Hi Sarina,

Because you are Canadian you qualify for a Working Holiday Visa. Japan and Canada have such an agreement. They have signed a bilateral agreement that allows Canadians between the ages of 18 and 30 to travel and work in Japan for up to 12 months. There is no processing fee but you have to show that you have $2,500 in your bank account. Then grab some teaching certification and you should be good to go.

Cheers and good luck to you
